Dear Joe:

Please find enclosed our “hardware key” for FireACAD.

I have been using FireACAD for 4 years and I have been using AutoSPRINK for 18 months. After using both of these packages we have decided to use AutoSPRINK for all of our engineers.

The hydraulic calculations in AutoSPRINK are far superior.  TO simply drag a “remote area” out on the screen and watch it calculate “on the fly” is far easier than any other I’ve seen.  AutoSPRINK will also allow you to incorporate your own method of designing a system.  With FireACAD, you virtually have to assemble the system exactly as the software dictates by following a certain order of events.  I’ve also found AutoSPRINK to be much more forgiving after a mistake.  For example, with FireACAD while laying out sprinklers in a particular area, you have to follow a certain procedure.  If you make a mistake during this procedure you are better off starting over from the beginning.  With AutoSPRINK it would just be a matter of changing some properties in a dialogue box.  I have also found AutoSPRINK to be much more intuitive.  In my opinion a person new to CAD would be much more productive on this package than on FireACAD, especially over a short period of time.

These are just a few of the many differences between these two programs.  Although there are many more I felt these differences alone would merit our decision to go with your program.

Sincerely,
