January 28, 2000 Dear Joe: As you are aware, we recently had 18 designers complete your training course on AutoSPRINK and I wanted to inform you that we have had total satisfaction with the program. We have had tremendous success in implementing the AutoSPRINK program in fact, we had a designer who had never drawn on CAD complete a warehouse with two dry systems and 960 sprinklers in three days. This included gang drains, calculations and submittal. We are satisfied that we made the right decision regarding which program we purchased. Although, we have not even begun to utilize all of the “Bells and Whistles” we have cut out design time, with most of the savings coming from the ease of calculation. Also, we are confident that we have optimized our pipe sizes as the program allows us to make changes rapidly to verify that in-fact we have optimized our pipe. To date all of our designers, except one that already was in the middle of a project utilizing MicroGDs, have switched to AutoSPRINK and are gaining more and more confidence each day in their ability to operate the program to provide GFPS with the best, most accurate design available. Joe, we will stay in touch and let you know of our progress and any problems we may encounter, to date we have had a few minor glitches, mostly design error, which your staff has assisted us in completing our tasks. Best regards,
Gary W. Wooldridge
February 17, 2000 Dear Joe, Until October of last year, Grinnell’s Phoenix design department had six employees, with experience levels ranging from two years to thirty, using three different CAD programs. With limited personnel and design responsibility for projects throughout the state of Arizona, it was imperative that we find a way to increase production, improve the quality of design and standardize the end product. I’m happy to say that using AutoSPRINK over the past four months has moved us ever closer to achieving our goals. We were able to take full advantage of the program immediately following the one-week course. Down time was minimal as a result of the excellent training and timely response by M.E.P.CAD’s support staff. We are experiencing great results through improved approval times, positive feedback from our installation crews and less dependence on freelance design. Thank you again for an outstanding product. Sincerely, Grinnell Fire Protection Systems Company

February 29, 2000 Dear Joe: We are on our sixth week using AutoSPRINK. Shane and Greg did a great job training six of our designers and four designers from the Indianapolis office. The first week was a good overview of the program’s features with some practical examples. The second week, Greg helped us get up and running with AutoSPRINK and we haven’t looked back. Training the whole department at once worked out just fine. The learning curve is not that bad, especially with the help of your excellent tech support. Your programmers have produced a product more advanced than anything else on the market. AutoSPRINK needs some refinement, but we know you are constantly improving this product to meet our needs. It is obvious that no shortcuts were taken in developing AutoSPRINK. We are looking forward to the WinList upgrade and the AutoSPRINK 2000 release. Keep up the good work. Sincerely,
Bruce R. Schenk
Dear Joe, I am writing to tell you of our complete satisfaction with AutoSPRINK. As you know we converted our entire department in a one-week period in June (1999). The only down time we experienced was the one week training period. All design personnel were up and running on individual projects upon completion of the training. No one was more skeptical than I when I first learned of AutoSPRINK. I had been an AutoCAD user since 1985; I had used Sigma’s Polaris software and I had been a ten-year SprinkCAD operator. At the time, I was satisfied with what the SprinkCAD product could provide. If you remember I came to your office prepared to counter AutoSPRINK’s capabilities with what I knew SprinkCAD could do. After a lengthy demonstration of AutoSPRINK’s capabilities I realized the AutoSPRINK was the future of mechanical design. Those that think only of the initial cost in purchasing AutoSPRINK will miss the boat. On one of the very first projects that we used AutoSPRINK we were able to realize a $2,500.00 material savings due to the ease with which we were able to manipulate the hydraulic remote areas. Currently we are working on a project where AutoSPRINK is simultaneously calculating ten deluge systems with foam monitors and hose stations supplied by six fire pumps; try doing that with SprinkCAD, HydraCAD or any of the other programs available. I am pleased that AutoSPRINK has made it possible for us to realize our goals of increased production with improved quality. Thank you for an outstanding product. Sincerely,
Gene Janecko
April 26, 2000 Dear Joe, After using the AutoSPRINK design package for 2 months I am pleased to report that we are totally satisfied with the product. I will admit that I was skeptical having used SprinkCAD for several for several years I could not envision your product being that much better that it would be cost justified to bring it into our office as the design software of choice. In hindsight I am happy to report I was being shortsighted. I attended the full week training session to evaluate AutoSPRINK verses my knowledge of SprinkCAD and would base our purchasing decision on the evaluation. At that time I had no idea of how powerful your product was. The benefits of your product became evident on the first day of training after we had designed some basic systems, produced calculations, and stocklists. I found the drawing environment very easy to use and the concept of drawing in true 3D simplified the drawing process tremendously. Being able to visualize the piping system and draw it as it will actually be installed makes for a faster turnabout in design time, easier and more accurate coordination with structural members and other trades. The final result is just a better design. I feel that the additional bells & whistles AutoSPRINK provides such as the ability to produce a detail of any part of the design or the whole layout in isometric view is a great benefit to the field crews and pays off in increased productivity. Additionally the fully functional elevation, dimensioning, and hanger routines are just the best. In closing I would recommend your product to any sprinkler contractor looking to increase productivity in their design department and reap the rewards of better-designed systems that are easier and more profitable to install. AutoSPRINK has re-set the standard of sprinkler design software with a truly functional and innovative product. Sincerely,
